Glasgow Dogs Trust’s Waggy Walk 2011
The rain was miserable but that didn’t stop hundreds of dogs and their humans enjoying themselves at Tollcross Park this morning. They were taking part in the annual Waggy Walk to raise money for Dogs Trust, and they LOVED it. Photos will be here soon but you’ll find a bunch over on my Facebook page in the meantime!

Paws in the Park
Many, many Paws in the Park at yesterday’s doggy event in Rouken Glen Park. I confess I paid more attention to cuddles than photos but I hope you like this lot. It was incredibly hard not to take some of the puppies home.

Togo’s Journey
A one year old harbour seal called Togo made an incredible journey on Thursday; he travelled from the Fisheries and Maritime Museum in Esbjerg, Denmark to Aberdeen airport and on to his new home at St Andrews Aquarium. I was there to capture his arrival in Scotland and his onward journey. You’ll see much more of Togo and the Aquarium’s resident seal, Laurel, very soon.

Meerkats at St Andrews Aquarium
I have good and bad news from St Andrews Aquarium. Sadly, we said goodbye to their original baby meerkat (Piper) this week. He was suffering from a malformation of joints that was causing him some pain and the Aquarium team had to make a very hard decision. Piper was an amazing wee creature and he’ll be sadly missed. He was the star of many of my most popular photos and I enjoyed spending some more time with him a couple of weeks ago; he was great fun and was thriving in his role as big brother to a bunch of new babies.
So that brings me onto the good news.
Kate and Wills gave birth to five new wee ones a few weeks ago and here are a few meerkat family photos I took during my last visit. Unsurprisingly, you’ll see many more pictures soon.

Rolf & Fozzie
Allow me to introduce you to Rolf and Fozzie. They are not only gorgeous baby guinea pigs, they’re also my new live-in models so expect to see a lot of them.
Bohemian Meerkats!
Here’s your first glimpse of St Andrews Aquarium‘s new baby meerkats! They have five but one of them sat out this photo so the others could do Bohemian Rhapsody. Squeal! Many more photos to come soon.
Cute Overload
I always have a good day when it involves animals. I spent hours photographing baby meerkats, Laurel the seal and some pretty fish at St Andrews Aquarium today. Everyone posed beautifully for me and I can’t wait to show you the pictures. I also enjoyed some cuddles with three silly spaniels and now I’m home to my baby guinea pigs. Cute overload!
I’ll share the photos soon but, as a teaser, this is an iPhone snap of a few meerkats and you can see my previous meerkat photos on my Flickr site.
So Much To Say…
… and so little time and energy! Sorry for lack of updates, folks, but I’ve been a tad busy. I’ve got plenty of blogs brewing that have yet to make their way onto the screen but I thought I’d just give you a quick summary and point you in the direction of a few new photos.
Today was spent cuddling and photographing dogs. In fact, I met and photo’d more than 30 of ‘em at the Glasgow Vet School Rodeo. Amazing event and great fun, despite a biting wind. I even popped into the reptile tent and was talked into holding a snake. I survived but I think I prefer them through a very long lens. I’ll have all the doggy photos online soon but, for now, you can check out my pictures from last year’s Rodeo here, featuring dogs, a lamb, sheep, a calf, ferrets, birds of prey and duck herding.
Puffins! I’ve put a few of my new puffin photos online. Lots more to come. They are ADORABLE.
Talking of adorable, have you ever seen a baby meerkat? Well, please step this way and prepare to squeal. I photo’d a baby and three adult meerkats at St. Andrews Aquarium last week. Lots to tell about that so please watch this space.
And now for something completely different. Here are my X Factor Live Tour Photos featuring One Direction, Matt Cardle, Rebecca Ferguson, Cher Lloyd, Paije Richardson, Katie Waissel, Aiden Grimshaw and the legendary Wagner.
On top of all of that, I’ve walked on fire (I raised over £400 for OneKind!), done a really successful headshot shoot, taken some pictures of a great Quarriers project, done my first wedding (as second shooter for the fabulous One Big Picture Photography), picked up some great tips at the Photovision Roadshow, and managed an ounce of a social life at Edinburgh’s Twestival. I’ll tell you more about some of them soon.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go and lie down
