I once shot a wedding at 40 hours notice. This one: three hours. The original wedding photographer was ill so I grabbed my kit, donned my Superman cape and rushed to Airth Castle.
Ash and Mick were amazing and welcomed this random wee stranger to their day, their family and friends were a lot of fun, the venue was stunning and there were LOADS of details which makes me very happy. Oh there was also hail, rain, wind, sun, dancing children and a chance meeting with Terry Butcher, the manager of Inverness Caledonian Thistle who were staying at the hotel.
Here’s a sneak peek of Ash and Mick’s big day:
Have a great honeymoon, Mr and Mrs Starrs. Can’t wait to show you the rest of your photos in a few weeks.
PS…
Fascinating fact #1: my Dad wrote a book about Inverness Caledonian Thistle which made the ICT meeting even stranger on Friday.
Fascinating fact #2: I was meant to be helping my sister move house on Friday. Unsurprisingly, I had to cancel to cover the wedding. Unfortunately, they moved the move to Saturday. Instead of recovering on the sofa, I spent the day lugging things up and down stairs, in and out of houses. Yes, this is a blatant plea for sympathy
